Jim serves as the Director of Fundamental Equity Research and co-manages the Global and International Opportunistic Equity strategies. He rejoined the Firm in December 2008 after three years serving as a founding partner of Clarke Bennitt, LLC. From 1997 to 2005, Jim worked as an equity analyst and portfolio manager for Brandywine Global's large, mid, and small cap value equity portfolios, and as lead manager of the Firm's small cap portfolios for five years. Prior to his initial term of employment with Brandywine Global, Jim worked as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York and Tokyo (1991-1995). He earned a B.A. in History from Williams College where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. Jim earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University.

Sorin is a research analyst for our large-cap equity strategies and co-manages the Global and International Opportunistic Equity strategies. He is responsible for research coverage of U.S. and global financial companies. Prior to joining Brandywine Global in May 2014, Sorin was a global equity analyst and Principal of Turner Investment Partners (2011-2014) with a focus on global real estate, U.S. REITS, U.S. homebuilders and emerging market banks; senior research analyst, Vice President at Blackrock on their Global Opportunities team covering global financials (2005-2011); and an investment banking analyst focusing on global industrials and corporate and investment banking for Bank of America Securities (2004-2005). He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University and studied at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. Sorin is a CFA® charterholder.

Patrick is head of the Fundamental Equity team and serves as co-lead portfolio manager on the Classic Large Cap Value strategy. Patrick is responsible for researching the financial and healthcare sectors, contributing insights and stock recommendations. He joined the Firm in 1998. He is a member of the Firm’s Executive Board, co-chair of the firm’s Brokerage Committee, and Executive Sponsor of the firm’s DEI Council. Before becoming a portfolio manager, Patrick worked for the Firm as an analyst on the Large Cap Value Equity team. He was also with Dean Witter as an account executive (1996-1997). Patrick is a CFA® charterholder and earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Delaware and a B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Washington Post, Barron’s and others. Patrick has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business News, and Bloomberg television and radio.

As a Senior Vice President of the Firm's Global Fixed Income and related strategies, Patrick provides valuable analytical and strategic insight. Patrick joined the Firm in June 2005. Previously, he was senior director of institutional client strategy with SEI Investments (2000-2005), Director of Research and Investment Strategy of Mercantile Safe-Deposit & Trust Company (1997-2000), and director of research for PNC Financial (1981-1997). Patrick earned an M.A. in Urban Economics, an M.A. in Economics, and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Delaware.

Prior to joining Brandywine Global in 2022, Vincent served as principal at Needham & Company (2018-2022), as associate director at Oppenheimer & Co (2017-2018), as research analyst at 7ParkData, and as investment generalist at Sureview Capital (2012-2015). Vincent earned an M.S. in Financial Engineering from New York University and a B.S. in Economics and Law from China University of Political Science and Law.

Francis joined Brandywine Global in 2006 and drives the global macroeconomic research which supports the fixed-income group's investment process, provides investment ideas and strategic asset allocation recommendations. From 1984 until 2005, Francis was a principal of the BCA Research Group, head of global investment strategy and led the firm’s new product development. He spent several years in the policy departments of the Bank of Canada in the early 1980s working in the areas of monetary, economic, and financial analysis. Francis has a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada and an Honors BA in Economics from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. He has lectured at a variety of economic, financial and investment conferences/seminars across North America, Asia and Europe and has contributed editorials and essays for a range of financial publications including the Financial Times of London.

Justin rejoined the Firm in April 2013 as an analyst on the Fundamental Equity team and now also co-manages the micro- and small-cap portfolios. He has over 25 years’ experience in the investment management industry with a focus on fundamental research and analysis. Before rejoining the firm, Justin was a Managing Member of Clarke Bennitt, LLC. (2005-2011). He previously held several roles with Brandywine Global including Midcap Value Equity Portfolio Co-Manager (2004 - 2005); Senior Research Analyst - Small/Smid Product Group (2001 - 2005); Research Analyst - International Value Product Group (1998 - 2001) and Quantitative Analyst - Domestic and International Product Groups (1996 - 1998). Justin earned a B.A. in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Ivy is a senior research analyst for our Fundamental Equity Team, responsible for healthcare and general research coverage across geographies, industries, and market capitalizations in support of our fundamental equity products. As the Fundamental Equity Team ESG Lead, Ivy coordinates efforts and implementation across the team, working closely with the Head of ESG for the firm. Prior to joining Brandywine Global in January 2014, Ivy was an intern with Brandywine Global in 2013 assisting with company research. During his career at Brandywine Global, Greg has served as a fundamental and quantitative analyst as well as the lead trader for the Diversified Value Equity portfolios. Greg joined the Firm in 2000. Previously, he was with Trinity Investment Management as a securities trader (1996-2000). Greg holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and earned a B.A. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the CFA Institute.

Steven is an associate portfolio manager for the micro- and small-cap portfolios and research analyst for the Fundamental Equity Team. Prior to joining Brandywine Global in April 2016, Steven was a senior investment analyst covering multiple sectors for value investment firms, Aegis Financial Corporation (2012-2015) and Leap Tide Capital Management (2005-2012), and an investment analyst for value investment firm, Kenner Management (Tivoli Partners, L.P.)(2004-2005). He also held associate positions in equity research with Jefferies & Company (2002-2004) covering value-oriented special situations and C.E. Unterberg, Towbin (2000-2001) covering technology. Steven graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Economics and is a CFA® charterholder.

Prior to joining Brandywine Global in September 2018, she served in various roles at Aberdeen Standard Investments (2012-2018), including as an investment manager. Celia earned a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Celia is a member of Inve$t in Her Future, a committee within the CFA Society of Philadelphia, focused on promoting the financial industry amongst female university students as an attractive career path and supporting the next generation of female financial professionals.

Mike is a portfolio manager and senior research analyst on the Global Fixed Income team. He is responsible for providing research analysis and portfolio management on the firm’s emerging market fixed income related strategies. Prior to this he had been a research analyst on the team since 2011 with a focus on global credit and emerging markets. Mike joined Brandywine Global as a product specialist within client service in 2006. Prior to joining Brandywine Global in 2006, Mike was an associate for the Vanguard Group (2004-2006). As a senior global macro research specialist, Min provides support to Francis Scotland, director of macroeconomic research. Min maintains a financial/economic database and internal website, which are used to support research tasks as well as respond to research requests from members of the Global Fixed Income team. Min joined the Firm in October 2006. Previously, she worked as a data analyst for the Bank of New York (2006) and as a research assistant for the University of Delaware (2005-2006). As a portfolio manager and senior research analyst, Carol conducts macroeconomic research and analysis with a focus in the Asia Pacific region for the Firm's fixed income strategies. Additionally she is responsible for communicating details and presenting our investment strategies to clients, prospects and consultants in Asia. She joined the Firm in October 2008 as a fixed income research analyst and is based out of the office of Brandywine Global Investment Management (Asia) Pte., Ltd. in Singapore. Previously, she served as an economist with the Monetary Authority of Singapore where she analyzed domestic and external economies (2007-2008). She was also a summer analyst with the fixed income capital market division of Goldman Sachs in London (2006). Carol earned an MSC in Finance and Economics from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and a BSc in Economics from the National University of Singapore.

Richard's role on the Global Fixed Income team comprises helping to manage the Fixed Income business and functioning of the team, portfolio implementation, research and communicating details of our investment strategies to clients, prospects and consultants. Previously, Richard managed Brandywine Global's institutional client service function, maintaining and enhancing relationships with institutional clients, specializing in Global Fixed Income and related strategies. Richard joined the Firm in April 2005. Previously, he served in a variety of roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (1994-2004). Richard also has worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. (1992-1994), Salomon Brothers (1987-1992), Acsis, Inc. (1986-1987), and Hoskyns Group (1985-1986). He earned a B.Sc. with first-class honors in Computer Science from the University of Westminster in London. Richard is a member of the Firm's Executive Board.

Dave is the head trader for Brandywine Global’s equity portfolios. Prior to being appointed to this position in March 2007, he served as lead equity trader for the Firm’s Diversified Value Equity portfolios in addition to providing support to the Fundamental Equity team. He joined the Firm in 2000. Previously, Dave was with OTA Limited Partnership, a full-service institutional broker/dealer, as a financial analyst/trader (1989-2000); First Federal Savings Bank as a senior accountant (1987-1989), and Beneficial Mortgage Corporation as the loan accounting manager (1985-1987). Dave earned a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.

Kristen is a portfolio management implementation specialist for the Firm's Global Fixed Income and related strategies. Before joining the Portfolio Management Implementation team, Kristen was a trader for the Firm's Global Fixed Income and related strategies from 2010–2019 and a staff accountant responsible for account reconciliation, revenue calculation, and financial statement analysis from 2007-2010. Prior to joining the Firm in 2007, she was a staff accountant with Popular Financial Holdings and the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa. Kristen earned an M.S. in Financial Services from Saint Joseph's University and a B.S. in Business Studies: Corporate Accounting from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
