Andrew P. Bauer, CFA
As a senior investment specialist and head of the Wealth Management Group, Andy oversees the teams’ efforts in maintaining and enhancing our relationships with clients, consultants and distribution partners. Andy is responsible for new business development and diversified financial service firm relationships. In addition, he is responsible for communicating the Firm’s investment strategy and positioning to institutional and high net worth clients and prospects on the East Coast. He joined the Firm in December 2011 and has over 15 years of investment and marketing experience. Previously, Andy was a director and principal with Turner Investments responsible for institutional relationship management (2008-2011); vice president and portfolio specialist with Legg Mason Institutional Services (2004-2008); research analyst with PFM Advisors (2003-2004); and a research associate with Duncan-Hurst Capital Management (1999-2003). Andy is a CFA® charterholder, holds FINRA Series 3, 7 and 63 licenses and earned an M.S. in Finance from San Diego State University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park.

As an investment specialist within the Wealth Management Group, Amer is responsible for establishing and enhancing relationships with institutional and high net worth clients, consultants, and distribution partners for the Firm’s commingled products. Amer joined the Firm in April 2011 beginning on our internal support team, followed by a Relationship Manager role on our North American institutional client team. Prior to joining Brandywine Global, Amer was a marketing and client service associate at Mondrian Investment Partners (U.S.), Inc. (2006-2009). Amer earned his M.Sc. in Public Management at King’s College London, and a B.Sc. in International Business and Finance from Temple University. Amer holds FINRA Series 3, 7 and 63 licenses, is a CFA® charterholder, and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Philadelphia.

Prior to joining the Firm in October 2012, Mark worked as an investor relations professional with Attalus Capital (2008-2012); a consultant with Towers Perrin's Asset Consulting Services group (2003-2008), and an associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (2001-2003). He is a CAIA charterholder and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Bucknell University.

John P. Nelson
John leads Brandywine Global’s Institutional Sales, Relationship Management, and Wealth Management teams in the U.S. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with many of the firm’s largest institutional clients. John joined the firm in June 2013 and is a member of the firm’s Global Management Committee. Previously, he spent 27 years at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York where he was Managing Director and Head of Institutional Relationship Management and Business Development. John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Saint Vincent College and completed the CFA Institute’s Investment Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2006.

Previously, he was with Rorer Asset Management as senior investment service associate and a team leader (1996-2006), and with Empower America as the deputy director of communications (1993-1996). John earned a B.A. in International Management from Franklin College, Switzerland.

As senior investment specialist within the Wealth Management Group, Steve is responsible for communicating the Firm’s investment strategy and positioning to institutional clients and high net worth clients and prospects in the West and Southwest regions. He joined the Firm in 2002. Previously, Steve was vice president of the Western Region for Aberdeen Asset Management (1996-2002), and regional director for Furman Selz Capital Management (1991-1995). He also sold investments for Cigna Group Pension (1989-1991) and Union Central Pensions (1986-1989). Additionally, he served as a wholesaler for E.F. Hutton & Co. (1984-1986), and was a drilling engineer for Chevron USA (1979-1984). Steve earned a B.S in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
