Philip is an international equity analyst on the Fundamental Equity Team, responsible for general research coverage across industries. Prior to joining Brandywine Global in 2024, he worked as senior equity analyst at Morningstar (2014-2024) where he held leadership positions managing teams of analysts in Tokyo and Hong Kong, as investment analyst at Federated Investors, Inc. (2011-2013), as equity analyst at Morningstar, Inc. (2008-2011), and held roles at Royal Bank of Scotland (2001-2004) and Skandia Life Assurance Co. LTD (1999-2001). Philip earned an M.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and his B.A. in Business Economics from The University of Sunderland. He is a CFA charterholder and earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter.
